MONDAY JANUARY 27, 2025 

Today is a B-Day.   

Juniors – ACT Prep Class Flyers are available in the Main Office.  Great opportunity to prepare for the April ACT Exam.   The ACT Prep Class will occur in the evenings during March and early April at WHS.   Deadline to register in February 15th.

Big Weekend for the Cats!    Logan Van Duyne won the ICE Conference Wrestling Championship at 190 lbs on Saturday.  Oakley Rivera earned a 2nd place.    Junior Grace Jones won 2nd in Humorous Interpretation and 3rd in Special Occasion Speaking at the Sandwich Invite on Saturday.  The WHS Competitive Cheer Team won the Marian Catholic Invitational yesterday.

Congrats to Aubree Jandura was named to the IHSCCO Cheerleading All-State Team.

The WHS Drama Department is on the lookout for Tech and Backstage crew for this year's musical: The SpongeBob musical. If you are interested please email Ms. Lanoue. The first meeting for this will be on Friday, February 7th right after school in the music room.

There will be an AV Club Meeting today during WT in Room 213.  If unable to attend, please contact Mr. McGee.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA club) will be meeting in the District Office board room during WT today.  All students are welcome!

Cat Crew will be meeting in the Library tomorrow during WT.

Activity/Club Photo Day will take place on Wednesday January 29th beginning at 10:30 am thru WT.

All seniors will be meeting during WT on Thursday January 30th for a Resume Writing Workshop in the Cafetorium.

On Friday January 31st during WT, the Sophomore Class will have a meeting to input next year’s schedule into Skyward.

Free Tutoring continues for the semester every Tuesday from 3:10-4:10pm.  Tutoring will be available with Ms. Keane for English and Essays, with Mrs. Maupin for Math, and with Mr. Ivanoff for Science.

All students must be parked in their assigned parking spot.  Be sure to pick-up and complete a yellow driver application form in the main office.  Return it along with a $50.00 payment to Krista ASAP.  All students must have their vehicles registered in the main office.

If you are planning on applying to National Honor Society, or for college scholarships in the future, it is important for you to document your volunteer hours and collect supervisor signatures.  Pick up a volunteer log in the Guidance Office. To qualify for National Honor Society, students need at least 50 hours of community service.

WHS Students:  please continue to monitor your grades thru your Skyward Account.  Please check your school email 2-3 times daily.

The Service Road between WHS and WMS/SIS is Off-Limits to bike riders and walkers before and after school.   The service road is for buses only in the morning and afternoon.   Vehicles should not drive on the service road as it is reserved for the School Buses.   No Skateboards on WHS property.

Students driving to and from school day should obey the Speed Limit and Stop Signs.  Especially on Wildcat Court, watch your speed limit.  Please take the responsibility as a driver to follow driving laws.    Please take extra caution with the snow, ice, and wind when arriving and departing.
