Today is a B-Day.

Seniors:   a reminder to be sure that all school and lunch fees paid in full before the end of the school day today.  Also, Mandatory Graduation Practice is at 9:00 am on Friday May 16th.  You must be present in order to participate in the Graduation Ceremony.

All WHS students will view the Funeral Procession along Wildcat Court from 11:15 – 11:35 am today.   Recently, a World War II MIA Soldier Private James C. Loyd returned home after missing for 80 years.  His burial will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.   He has family roots here in Wilmington.    Students will be asked pay their respects by holding a small American Flag in their left hand while placing the right hand over their chest.  This is proper etiquette during a funeral procession of a military veteran.    All Wilco students will eat lunch during WT, the view the procession prior to departure for Wilco.

Prom T-Shirts have arrived and can be picked up in Ms. Keane’s Room 210.

Cheerleading tryouts for the 2025-2026 season are coming soon! Open gyms will be held May 12th and 13th from 3-5pm. Mandatory tryout clinics will be held May 20th, 21st, 22nd from 3-5pm.

If you are planning on applying for NHS next year and need service hours, a tutoring opportunity may be available.  Please email Brenda in the Guidance Office if you are interested in after-school or summer tutoring.

Free Tutoring continues for the semester every Tuesday from 3:10-4:10pm.  Tutoring will be available with Ms. Keane for English and Essays, with Mrs. Maupin for Math, and with Mr. Ivanoff for Science.

All students must be parked in their assigned parking spot.  Be sure to pick-up and complete a yellow driver application form in the main office.  Return it along with a $50.00 payment to Krista ASAP.  All students must have their vehicles registered in the main office.

If you are planning on applying to National Honor Society, or for college scholarships in the future, it is important for you to document your volunteer hours and collect supervisor signatures.  Pick up a volunteer log in the Guidance Office. To qualify for National Honor Society, students need at least 50 hours of community service.

WHS Students:  please continue to monitor your grades thru your Skyward Account.  Please check your school email 2-3 times daily.

The Service Road between WHS and WMS/SIS is Off-Limits to bike riders and walkers before and after school.   The service road is for buses only in the morning and afternoon.   Vehicles should not drive on the service road as it is reserved for the School Buses.   No Skateboards on WHS property.

Students driving to and from school day should obey the Speed Limit and Stop Signs.  Especially on Wildcat Court, watch your speed limit.  Please take the responsibility as a driver to follow driving laws.    Please take extra caution with the snow, ice, and wind when arriving and departing.
