Today is an A-Day.
Thursday November 6th will be a 1:45 pm school dismissal. No school on Friday November 7th due to P/T Conferences. P/T Conferences will run from 3:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday afternoon/evening and 9:00 am – Noon on Friday November 7th.
Reminder to all students: Chromebooks are to be used for learning. Chromebooks should not be used for games/movies during the school day which includes WT. Please cooperate with this request. And, as a reminder, be sure Cell Phones are placed in the Cell Phone Holders or left in your locker.
Students and parents are invited to attend the Financial Aid and College Application Workshop on Thursday, November 6th during Parent-Teacher Conferences in Room 107 from 5-6:30pm. Also, at 4pm, you and your parents can learn about Dual Credit, Drivers Ed, Illinois State Scholars, and other programs offered through WHS.
Varsity Football will play at Seneca HS at 6:00 pm on Saturday November 8th in the 2nd Round of the IHSA Playoffs. Admission is $9.00 cash only at the gate.
A representative from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville will be here today during the lunch periods. Please stop by their table for information.
All freshmen will receive their 8th grade standardized test scores during Wildcat Time today. Please take your test scores home and share them with your parents.
There will be an FCA Meeting today during WT in the District Board Room.
Best Buddies will meet during WT on Thursday November 6th in the Cafetorium.
Juniors - The next National ACT Test is on December 13th. You must register by November 7th or pay late fees. Register online at act.org. This is your chance to improve your test scores for college, scholarships and Illinois State Scholars.
Students – if you wish to utilize the student parking lot with a vehicle, be sure to have your application and $50 returned to Krista in the main office. No Application and no payment made means no parking spot. You must park in your assigned parking spot.
If you are planning on applying for NHS next year and need service hours, a tutoring opportunity may be available. Please email Brenda in the Guidance Office if you are interested in after-school or summer tutoring.
Free Tutoring will be available every Tuesday from 3:10-4:10pm. Classrooms for tutoring will be Ms. Keane for English and Essays, Mrs. Maupin for Math, and Mr. Ivanoff for Science
If you are planning on applying to National Honor Society, or for college scholarships in the future, it is important for you to document your volunteer hours and collect supervisor signatures. Pick up a volunteer log in the Guidance Office. To qualify for National Honor Society, students need at least 50 hours of community service.

WHS Students: please continue to monitor your grades thru your Skyward Account. Please check your school email 2-3 times daily.
The Service Road between WHS and WMS/SIS is Off-Limits to bike riders and walkers before and after school. The service road is for buses only in the morning and afternoon. Vehicles should not drive on the service road as it is reserved for the School Buses. No Skateboards on WHS property.
Students driving to and from school day should obey the Speed Limit and Stop Signs. Especially on Wildcat Court, watch your speed limit. Please take the responsibility as a driver to follow driving laws. Please take extra caution with the snow, ice, and wind when arriving and departing.
