Today is a B-Day.
Tomorrow, we will have our annual College and Career Day at WHS. All students will be begin the morning in your Wildcat Time Classroom. From there, we will have guest speakers throughout the building and Colleges/Universities/Businesses in the Main Gym. It will be a great day for you to experience many future opportunities. Due to a School Improvement Day, students will be dismissed at 11:15 am. No Wilco. Bus will run at 11:15 am. Leave your chromebooks in your locker. Do not carry it around during College and Career Day.
The WHS Cheer Team on advancing to the IHSA State Finals on Friday February 6th. The fan bus will be offered to our WHS Students. Cost is $15.00 per person which includes your event ticket. If you are interested, please pick-up a Field Trip Permission Slip from the Main Office Counter. Payment and permission slip must be returned by 2:00 pm on Thursday 2/5/26. We must have a minimum of 20 students on the Fan Bus. The Fan Bus will depart at 10:00 am. Cheer team performs at 11:55 am. The Fan Bus will return thereafter.
Juniors – ACT Prep Class Flyers are available in the WHS Main Office. This course is geared towards improving ACT Scores on the upcoming April 16, 2026 Exam. The course will be held on 7 evenings in March and April. Deadline to submit application and deposit is March 1, 2026.
SENIORS: Joliet Junior College reps will be here to tell you what you need to do to enroll next fall. If you want to attend the meeting, reply to this message or email your counselor. The deadline to sign up is: Friday, February 6th. That is next Friday.
As a reminder, students are reminded to take their chromebook home each night. Just in case of an E-Learning Day during the winter months. Be certain your chromebook is charged as well. Students are reminded to not leave your school-issued chromebook in vehicles overnight. The cold temperatures may cause damage to your chromebook. Take your chromebook inside each night to charge and return it to school the next day.
Reminder to all students: Chromebooks are to be used for learning. Chromebooks should not be used for games/movies during the school day which includes WT. Please cooperate with this request. And, as a reminder, be sure Cell Phones are placed in the Cell Phone Holders or left in your locker.
Students – if you wish to utilize the student parking lot with a vehicle, be sure to have your application and $50 returned to Krista in the main office. No Application and no payment made means no parking spot. You must park in your assigned parking spot.
If you are planning on applying for NHS next year and need service hours, a tutoring opportunity may be available. Please email Brenda in the Guidance Office if you are interested in after-school or summer tutoring.
Free Tutoring will be available every Tuesday from 3:10-4:10pm. Classrooms for tutoring will be Ms. Keane for English and Essays, Mrs. Maupin for Math, and Mr. Ivanoff for Science.
If you are planning on applying to National Honor Society, or for college scholarships in the future, it is important for you to document your volunteer hours and collect supervisor signatures. Pick up a volunteer log in the Guidance Office. To qualify for National Honor Society, students need at least 50 hours of community service.

WHS Students: please continue to monitor your grades thru your Skyward Account. Please check your school email 2-3 times daily.
The Service Road between WHS and WMS/SIS is Off-Limits to bike riders and walkers before and after school. The service road is for buses only in the morning and afternoon. Vehicles should not drive on the service road as it is reserved for the School Buses. No Skateboards on WHS property.
Students driving to and from school day should obey the Speed Limit and Stop Signs. Especially on Wildcat Court, watch your speed limit. Please take the responsibility as a driver to follow driving laws. Please take extra caution with the snow, ice, and wind when arriving and departing.
