Today is a B-Day.
Cheerleading tryouts for the 2026-2027 school year are coming up! The final open gym will be held May 13th from 3-5pm. It is encouraged to attend. Tryout dates are May 18th, 19th, and 20th from 3-5pm. These clinic dates are mandatory. All athletes must sign up on the Google Form and have a current physical by tryout dates. If you have any questions, or have a conflict with a spring sport, please contact Coach Jeannine Bejlovec via email.
All juniors should go to ONE CLICK ADMIT and fill out the free application to apply for 10 different Illinois universities AND JJC! This application is free and it will save you a lot of time -- ONE application for 11 different colleges - for FREE. The deadline is Friday, May 22nd.
Prom t-shirts are in and can be picked up in Ms. Keane's room this week and next week.
Math tutoring this week will be on WEDNESDAY, instead of Tuesday.
SENIORS: you are reminded to clean all stickers off your chromebook before turn-in on Thursday May 14th. Lockers should be cleaned as well. Be certain all school fees, lunch fees, and library fees are paid in full before Mandatory Graduation Practice at 9:00 am on Friday May 15th.
WHS Spring Music Concert is Wednesday May 13th at 6:30 pm in the WHS Main Gym.
NHS Meeting on Friday May 15th in Mrs. Maupin’s Room 101 during WT.
As a reminder, students are reminded to take their chromebook home each night. Just in case of an E-Learning Day during the winter months. Be certain your chromebook is charged as well. Students are reminded to not leave your school-issued chromebook in vehicles overnight. The cold temperatures may cause damage to your chromebook. Take your chromebook inside each night to charge and return it to school the next day.
Reminder to all students: Chromebooks are to be used for learning. Chromebooks should not be used for games/movies during the school day which includes WT. Please cooperate with this request. And, as a reminder, be sure Cell Phones are placed in the Cell Phone Holders or left in your locker.
Students – if you wish to utilize the student parking lot with a vehicle, be sure to have your application and $50 returned to Krista in the main office. No Application and no payment made means no parking spot. You must park in your assigned parking spot.
If you are planning on applying for NHS next year and need service hours, a tutoring opportunity may be available. Please email Brenda in the Guidance Office if you are interested in after-school or summer tutoring.
Free Tutoring will be available every Tuesday from 3:10-4:10pm. Classrooms for tutoring will be Ms. Keane for English and Essays, Mrs. Maupin for Math, and Mr. Ivanoff for Science.
If you are planning on applying to National Honor Society, or for college scholarships in the future, it is important for you to document your volunteer hours and collect supervisor signatures. Pick up a volunteer log in the Guidance Office. To qualify for National Honor Society, students need at least 50 hours of community service.

WHS Students: please continue to monitor your grades thru your Skyward Account. Please check your school email 2-3 times daily.
The Service Road between WHS and WMS/SIS is Off-Limits to bike riders and walkers before and after school. The service road is for buses only in the morning and afternoon. Vehicles should not drive on the service road as it is reserved for the School Buses. No Skateboards on WHS property.
Students driving to and from school day should obey the Speed Limit and Stop Signs. Especially on Wildcat Court, watch your speed limit. Please take the responsibility as a driver to follow driving laws. Please take extra caution with the snow, ice, and wind when arriving and departing.
