Today is a B-Day.   Enjoy your 3-day weekend.    Only a couple days before Semester Exams.   All students will be turning in Chromebooks and Chargers during your last Semester Exam of the school year.

Come enjoy a night of talent tonight at 6pm in the Cafetorium for the Wildcat Cabaret. Both students and teachers will be showing off their many talents.

All library books are due back by the end of the week.   Fines need to be paid by the end of the school year.  Start looking for those books that are checked out.

There will be a meeting for any Boys interested in playing Soccer next Fall on Tuesday, 5/26, in the Cafetorium during Wildcat Time.

For Friday ONLY:

Today is the last day for juniors to apply to 10 Illinois universities AND community colleges for FREE, on one application.  Go to "OneClickAdmit" to complete the application -- there is no essay!  Next year you will be paying application fees for these same schools.

Employment Opportunity:   The Wilmington Recreation Club is look for summer lifeguard help to work starting immediately through Labor Day.   If not currently certified, there for be a certification class held at the club for those who need certification or re-certification.  Please see the WHS Main Office for contact information if interested in learning more.

As a reminder, students are reminded to take their chromebook home each night.   Just in case of an E-Learning Day during the winter months.   Be certain your chromebook is charged as well.  Students are reminded to not leave your school-issued chromebook in vehicles overnight.  The cold temperatures may cause damage to your chromebook.   Take your chromebook inside each night to charge and return it to school the next day.

Reminder to all students:   Chromebooks are to be used for learning.  Chromebooks should not be used for games/movies during the school day which includes WT.    Please cooperate with this request.  And, as a reminder, be sure Cell Phones are placed in the Cell Phone Holders or left in your locker.

Students – if you wish to utilize the student parking lot with a vehicle, be sure to have your application and $50 returned to Krista in the main office.   No Application and no payment made means no parking spot.  You must park in your assigned parking spot.

If you are planning on applying for NHS next year and need service hours, a tutoring opportunity may be available.  Please email Brenda in the Guidance Office if you are interested in after-school or summer tutoring.

Free Tutoring will be available every Tuesday from 3:10-4:10pm.  Classrooms for tutoring will be Ms. Keane for English and Essays, Mrs. Maupin for Math, and Mr. Ivanoff for Science.

If you are planning on applying to National Honor Society, or for college scholarships in the future, it is important for you to document your volunteer hours and collect supervisor signatures.  Pick up a volunteer log in the Guidance Office. To qualify for National Honor Society, students need at least 50 hours of community service.

WHS Students:  please continue to monitor your grades thru your Skyward Account.  Please check your school email 2-3 times daily.

The Service Road between WHS and WMS/SIS is Off-Limits to bike riders and walkers before and after school.   The service road is for buses only in the morning and afternoon.   Vehicles should not drive on the service road as it is reserved for the School Buses.   No Skateboards on WHS property.

Students driving to and from school day should obey the Speed Limit and Stop Signs.  Especially on Wildcat Court, watch your speed limit.  Please take the responsibility as a driver to follow driving laws.    Please take extra caution with the snow, ice, and wind when arriving and departing.
