ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is an A-Day.    

School Photo Day will be Wednesday September 2nd from 8- 10 am.  This photo will be included in the school yearbook and used for school id’s.   Please dress appropriately for your school photos.   Senior and Underclass grade levels will be called down to the small gym via intercom.

FCA will have its first meeting on Wednesday September 2nd in the District Board Room in WT.

Anyone interested in going out for Wrestling this year there will be a meeting after school on Wednesday September 2nd in the Mat Room.  If you are unable to attend the meeting please email Mr. Goff.

Interact Club Meeting on Friday September 4th during WT in the District Board Room.

Sophomores, juniors and seniors should be sure to take their PreACT and ACT Test score sheets home to share with their parents.  You received these scores during class meetings, or during Wildcat Time.  We have emailed your parents to let them know that you will be bringing your scores home.

Interested in joining student council? If you have not picked up an application packet yet, please see Ms. Antos for one. Applications are due to Ms Antos today. Late applications will not be accepted. 

Parking Applications are located in the main office.   The Parking Application and $50 fee is due before you receive an parking pass.   Open Parking through Friday August 28th.   Starting Monday August 31st, you must be in your assigned spot.  No exceptions!

Homecoming Guest request forms are located on the Main Office Counter.   For those interested in bringing an out of school guest to Homecoming must complete and return the form by September 18th.

Seniors - You can still apply to the state universities for free by filling out one application.  If you did not complete the "ONE CLICK ADMIT" application last spring, email your counselor to find out how you can apply now.

Juniors and Seniors - A new plumber program is available to you on Tuesday and Thursday nights from October to December.  This program is offered by the Plumbers Union.  If you are interested in more information, email your counselor for an information packet.   Applications for the Plumbers Program is September 4th.  See you counselor.

Reminder to all students:   Chromebooks are to be used for learning.  Chromebooks should not be used for games/movies during the school day which includes WT.    Please cooperate with this request.  And, as a reminder, be sure Cell Phones are placed in the Cell Phone Holders or left in your locker.

If you are planning on applying for NHS next year and need service hours, a tutoring opportunity may be available.  Please email Brenda in the Guidance Office if you are interested in after-school or summer tutoring.

Free Tutoring will be available every Tuesday’s for Math/English and Wednesday’s for Science from 3:10-4:10 pm starting after Labor Day.  Classrooms for tutoring will be Ms. Keane for English and Essays, Mrs. Maupin for Math, and Mr. Ivanoff for Science.

If you are planning on applying to National Honor Society, or for college scholarships in the future, it is important for you to document your volunteer hours and collect supervisor signatures.  Pick up a volunteer log in the Guidance Office. To qualify for National Honor Society, students need at least 50 hours of community service.

WHS Students:  please continue to monitor your grades thru your Skyward Account.  Please check your school email 2-3 times daily.

The Service Road between WHS and WMS/SIS is Off-Limits to bike riders and walkers before and after school.   The service road is for buses only in the morning and afternoon.   Vehicles should not drive on the service road as it is reserved for the School Buses.   No Skateboards on WHS property.

Students driving to and from school day should obey the Speed Limit and Stop Signs.  Especially on Wildcat Court, watch your speed limit.  Please take the responsibility as a driver to follow driving laws.    Please take extra caution with the snow, ice, and wind when arriving and departing.
