Today is a B-Day.   Today is a significant day for all of America.  Today we honor the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001 as we focus on unity, kindness, and hope throughout the world today.

 

Football Game Theme  is  “USA Night.”

 

Speech Team Meeting on Tuesday September 15th during WT in Room 209.

 

WHS Students:  Please do not cut through the track on your walk home after school.  Use the outside of the fence line.  Appreciate your cooperation.

 

Homecoming Guest request forms are located on the Main Office Counter.   For those interested in bringing an out of school guest to Homecoming must complete and return the form by September 18th.   Homecoming tickets will be on-sale during lunch periods of Homecoming Week.   Cost is $15.00 per person if purchased in advance.   $20.00 per person at the door.  Homecoming Dance is Saturday September 26th from 7:00 – 10:00 pm.    Doors will open at 6:45 pm and must be in the building by 7:15 pm.  No exceptions.

 

Anyone that would like a homecoming tshirt to wear on class color day during homecoming week must return a completed order form and money to Ms. Antos by Monday 9/14 at 3pm. No late orders will be accepted. 

 

Freshman, sophomores, and juniors. If you would like your name removed from the 2026 homecoming ballot you must fill out a ballot removal form and submit it to Ms Antos before Wednesday 9/16. If you do not fill out one of these forms, your name will be on the 2026 homecoming ballot. 

 

Seniors interested in campaigning for homecoming court must see Ms Antos by 3pm today in order to be placed on the ballot. Senior couples that do not sign up with Ms. Antos, then will NOT be placed on the 2026 ballot.

 

Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors - If you are in any way interested in the military, or military scholarships for college, you should sign up to take the ASVAB Test on October 30th.  See information in your email, and respond by Friday, if you would like to take the ASVAB test.

 

Parking Applications are located in the main office.   The Parking Application and $50 fee is due before you receive a parking pass.  PARK IN YOUR ASSIGNED SPOT!  Thank you

 

Reminder to all students:   Chromebooks are to be used for learning.  Chromebooks should not be used for games/movies during the school day which includes WT.    Please cooperate with this request.  And, as a reminder, be sure Cell Phones are placed in the Cell Phone Holders or left in your locker.

 

If you are planning on applying for NHS next year and need service hours, a tutoring opportunity may be available.  Please email Brenda in the Guidance Office if you are interested in after-school or summer tutoring.

 

Free Tutoring will be available every Tuesday’s for Math/English and Wednesday’s for Science from 3:10-4:10 pm starting after Labor Day.  Classrooms for tutoring will be Ms. Keane for English and Essays, Mrs. Maupin for Math, and Mr. Ivanoff for Science.

If you are planning on applying to National Honor Society, or for college scholarships in the future, it is important for you to document your volunteer hours and collect supervisor signatures.  Pick up a volunteer log in the Guidance Office. To qualify for National Honor Society, students need at least 50 hours of community service.

WHS Students:  please continue to monitor your grades thru your Skyward Account.  Please check your school email 2-3 times daily.

 

The Service Road between WHS and WMS/SIS is Off-Limits to bike riders and walkers before and after school.   The service road is for buses only in the morning and afternoon.   Vehicles should not drive on the service road as it is reserved for the School Buses.   No Skateboards on WHS property.

 

Students driving to and from school day should obey the Speed Limit and Stop Signs.  Especially on Wildcat Court, watch your speed limit.  Please take the responsibility as a driver to follow driving laws.    Please take extra caution with the snow, ice, and wind when arriving and departing.
