Today is a B-Day

 

Speech Team Meeting today during WT in Room 209.

 

Fortitude Club Meeting on Wednesday September 16th in the Library.

 

Jostens will be here during lunch periods on Thursday September 17th for Sophomore Class Ring Orders.

 

NHS Meeting on Friday September 18th during WT in Mrs. Maupin’s Room 101.

 

FCA Meeting on Wednesday September 23rd during WT in the District Office.

 

Homecoming Guest request forms are located on the Main Office Counter.   For those interested in bringing an out of school guest to Homecoming, you must complete and return the form by September 18th.   Homecoming tickets will be on-sale during lunch periods of Homecoming Week.   Cost is $15.00 per person if purchased in advance.   $20.00 per person at the door.  Homecoming Dance is Saturday September 26th from 7:00 – 10:00 pm.    Doors will open at 6:45 pm and must be in the building by 7:15 pm.  No exceptions.

 

Want to be a registered voter?  During lunch periods on Thursday October 1, 2026, Mr. Niehls will be here to register voters and the upcoming election.  Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver license.

 

Tri-M is selling tickets during lunch period this week for “Teacher Pie of a Face.”  The event will take place on Monday September 21st during WT.   $1 for 1 ticket or $5 for 7 tickets.

 

Parking Applications are located in the main office.   The Parking Application and $50 fee is due before you receive a parking pass.  PARK IN YOUR ASSIGNED SPOT!  Thank you

 

Reminder to all students:   Chromebooks are to be used for learning.  Chromebooks should not be used for games/movies during the school day which includes WT.    Please cooperate with this request.  And, as a reminder, be sure Cell Phones are placed in the Cell Phone Holders or left in your locker.

 

If you are planning on applying for NHS next year and need service hours, a tutoring opportunity may be available.  Please email Brenda in the Guidance Office if you are interested in after-school or summer tutoring.

 

Free Tutoring will be available every Tuesday’s for Math/English and Wednesday’s for Science from 3:10-4:10 pm starting after Labor Day.  Classrooms for tutoring will be Ms. Keane for English and Essays, Mrs. Maupin for Math, and Mr. Ivanoff for Science.

If you are planning on applying to National Honor Society, or for college scholarships in the future, it is important for you to document your volunteer hours and collect supervisor signatures.  Pick up a volunteer log in the Guidance Office. To qualify for National Honor Society, students need at least 50 hours of community service.

WHS Students:  please continue to monitor your grades thru your Skyward Account.  Please check your school email 2-3 times daily.

 

The Service Road between WHS and WMS/SIS is Off-Limits to bike riders and walkers before and after school.   The service road is for buses only in the morning and afternoon.   Vehicles should not drive on the service road as it is reserved for the School Buses.   No Skateboards on WHS property.

 

Students driving to and from school day should obey the Speed Limit and Stop Signs.  Especially on Wildcat Court, watch your speed limit.  Please take the responsibility as a driver to follow driving laws.    Please take extra caution with the snow, ice, and wind when arriving and departing.
