Picture Retakes are at Brungin today! If you want your child's picture retaken, please make sure you let their teacher know. If you pre-ordered a picture packet, and you want the picture retaken, please send the packet with your child to school.

Volley For The Cure Pink Winners

REMINDER: Wear pink tomorrow, October 16th.


"Hey Wildcats! Don’t forget — Volley for a Cure is coming up on Thursday, October 16th! Join us as we support Megan’s Mission Foundation and cheer on our Wildcat Volleyball teams as they take on the Reed-Custer Comets.

Don't forget about the Pink Out Challenge! Two people from each school will win a Nothing Bundt Cake treat for showing the most pink and gold spirit at school and at the game! So deck yourself out in pink and gold and show your support for Volley for a Cure!"

It is expected during a WHS Home Football Game that all students (grades k-8) be accompanied by an adult when entering the gate. All students should be well-behaved and respectful at all times. Parents are expected to supervise their children during the course of the evening. Bicycles, skateboards, or scooters are not allowed. No throwing/kicking footballs; nerf ball, nor pop bottles. Stay on our side of the stadium. The playground is off limits starting at 5:00 pm. Admission is $3.00 per student. Once you depart the game, no re-entry.

Bruning will honor Patriot Day tomorrow, September 11th by wearing red, white, and blue!

REMINDER: The WE-PTO sock orders and the Bruning Spirit Wear orders are both due on FRIDAY, August 29th.

Snack Milk money is due tomorrow, August 22nd. Please remember to mark on the paper the choice of chocolate or white. Snack milk will beginon Monday.

As I wrap up another great school year, I wanted to take a moment to wish you and your family a safe, fun, and relaxing summer. Thank you for your continued support throughout the school year. Looking ahead to the 2025-2026 school year, you can now log into your Skyward account to see your child's teacher assignment. The office is now closed for the summer. Today marks a milestone. It is my profound honor to recognize someone whose name is woven into the very fabric of Bruning Elementary: our wonderful secretary, Brenda Begler, who has given 50 years—half a century—of unwavering service, dedication, and heart to this school. Fifty years ago, when Brenda first walked through the doors of Bruning Elementary, the world looked very different. But one thing has remained constant: her steady presence, her kind smile, and her unmatched commitment to our students, staff, and families. If these walls could talk, they would tell stories of her warm greetings to generations of students—many of whom grew up and brought their own children back to Bruning, greeted by that same familiar voice at the front desk. They would speak of her calm during chaos, her patience when the phones wouldn’t stop ringing, and her ability to juggle a hundred tasks while still knowing exactly where the Band-Aids are. She has been the heartbeat of this building—the quiet engine that kept everything running smoothly. From organizing records and field trips to comforting nervous kindergartners and answering every possible question a parent could ask, Brenda has done it all—with grace, humility, and an endless reserve of kindness. To say she is irreplaceable would be an understatement. She is the keeper of our history, the face of our front office, and a trusted friend to all. On behalf of the students, staff, families—past and present—of Bruning Elementary, we thank you, Brenda, for your lifetime of service. For your loyalty, your compassion, and your extraordinary devotion to this school. You’ve not just served for 50 years—you’ve made Bruning a better place for 50 years. And for that, we are eternally grateful. We wish you the best in the next chapter of your life! ENJOY RETIREMENT!

Happy Last Day of School! This is a reminder that we have early dismissal today! Bruning will be dimissed at 1:30! Car riders will begin dismissal at 1:20 PM.
