Congratulations to William Panepinto, a 7th grade student at WMS! He participated at the IESA Speech Competition this weekend and received 1st place, and a Judge's Choice Award for his solo acting of "My Mother The Bus Driver."

Kids Small Business Fair

Homework Helpers will be held on Wednesday, October 30th, and Wednesday, November 6th, for the last two sessions before the trimester ends. We will move it back to Thursdays starting on November 14th.

Students had a lot of fun decorating their study hall teacher's classroom door during the Red Ribbon Week door decorating contest. One winner from each grade level will be voted on today.

WMS will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week October 21st to October 25th. Student Council has picked a dress up theme for each day.

Announcements for 9/30-10/4 (Homecoming Week) Science Club reminder that this week's meeting is moved to Thursday in Mrs. Stickel's room 3:00-3:30. Homework Helpers runs every Thursday after school until 4:00 pm in Mrs. Bailey's room.   Beta Club meetings this week: October 2nd - Officer's meeting @ 7:30 am.  October 4th - Regular club meeting @ 7:30 am. Fannie May Athletics fundraiser, orders and money are due back to the office by Thursday, October 10th.  See Mr. Hansen if you have any questions.  Everyone has access to create an online account, which makes selling a lot easier! The homecoming parade is Friday, October 4th at 3:00 pm.  Students will be released from school that day at 1:50 pm.

Boys basketball Gear Up for Tryouts Information.

Boys baseball regional update: Today's game vs. Joliet Queen of Apostles has been moved due to muddy field conditions. The game will be played at Inwood Sports Complex in Joliet, 4:30 pm start time.

Announcements for Wednesday, Sept. 25: There will be a Student Council meeting this Thursday at 7:15 in the library. Please enter the building through the 8th-grade hallway doors. All candidates running for office will present their speeches at the meeting. 1st Trimester Progress Reports will be available on Skyward this Friday, September 27th. The Fannie May Candy fundraiser to support WMS athletics will begin on Thursday, September 26th. Science Club will meet today after school in the 8th grade science lab.

Homecoming Dress Up Days for WMS.

Softball will play for the regional championship Tuesday, September 17th at Morris Saratoga. Game starts at 4:30 and the field is located at 725 School Street, Morris. Best of luck to all players and coaches!
