Congratulations to WMS Wrestler Mason Strohm! Mason finished 2nd in the 70 lb division at the IESA Class A sectional on Saturday, and has qualified for the IESA State Wrestling Tournament. The State Tournament will be held at Northern Illinois University March 7th and March 8th. Best of luck to Mason!

Congratulations to the WMS Math Team. They traveled to Momence last night and competed against 8 teams in their division.
In the team event, 6th grade placed 2nd, and the 7th and 8th grade teams placed 3rd!

WE-PTO Dining for Dollars Event on February 25


Congratulations to the following Wilmington Middle School Wrestlers that placed in the IESA Regional at Coal City. These wrestlers advanced to the IESA sectional on Saturday, March 1st at Deerfield Caruso Middle School.
1st place - 70 pounds - Mason Strohm
2nd place - 119 pounds - Chase Brueggert
3rd place - 126 pounds - Luke Medlin

Beta Club is sponsoring a Movie Night for all WMS Students.

Cost is $2.00 - Movie and one free bag of popcorn!

Announcements for Thursday, February 20th:
*Third-trimester library aide applications are available in the library. All applications along with two teacher recommendations are due to Mrs. Reigh by 3:00 on Friday, Feb. 21.
*Place your order for a yearbook! Order forms are available in the office and online. Each all-color yearbook will cost $27.
*Aerospace Team - Mission Day is Saturday!! Make sure you are at Heritage Trail School by 6:45 with a lunch.
*There is a regular Beta Club Meeting Friday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 in the gym.
*Support the WEPTO! Stop by the office for a flyer or order online for the Pop Fund Popcorn Fundraiser ! The sale ends on Feb 27th.

Volleyball game time update for 2/13:
The start time for tonight's 7th and 8th grade volleyball games vs. Seneca has been changed to 5 pm. 6th grade vs. Minooka will will start at 4:30 pm at SIS.

A huge congratulations to the WMS students who excelled on the IAR state testing last spring! These hard-working students were recognized at Monday's Board of Education meeting for their outstanding achievements. We are so proud of you all! Keep up the amazing work!

All 3 levels of volleyball will play as scheduled tonight (2/6/25) starting at 4:30 pm.

Due to the icy and hazardous road conditions, especially on our rural roads, all Wilmington Schools are canceled today. A decision about all after school activities will be made later today. Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe.

Auditions for the WMS play will take place in Mr. Paulsen's room on Feb. 18 and 19. Any student that is interested in trying out for a part will need to get a packet from Mr. Paulsen. Play performance dates are April 29 and April 30.


WE-PTO dining for dollars will take place at Wilmington Pizzeria tonight from 4pm-7pm. Mention WE-PTO when you place your order and they will donate 20% of your total purchase to WE-PTO.


To honor Brian Coleman, the WMS Beta Club participates in a service project called Blankets for Brian. Beta Club students make blankets for the Chicago Children's Hospital. 26 were made by our students, and will be donated on behalf of Brian.
